An updated XWing Alliance-esque game.

Not getting much more old cschool than that, unless they go into the old Text Advernture games again.... Can't see LA going down that road.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

BF and EAW are hardly oldschool games, so I think we can exclude them. Also, I don't know what to do with this statement:

I'm not an english native speaker (:D) but doesn't this mean that it will be something "new", therefore not a sequel?

Another popular oldschool game... hmm 'Dark Forces'. I doubt it. 'Star Wars: The Force Unleashed' is the most recent game in that genre and it wasn't released long ago.

I can't imagine something else than a new Star Wars game too.
Space simulation enthusiasts are on the longest dry spell. The others are pretty good covered in my opinion. So chances are high smile

It could mean: not one of their more prominent undestood IPs ex Star wars(something new)
or it means a sort of mixture of IPs as its not attaining to a specific
