One thing that was quite interesting was checking out which were the most popular maps, I was quite surprised by who was in the number 1 slot.

Daa daa daa du du daa, du du du daa
So lets look at the charts, at number 15 we have...
15) Null Sensor Station
14) Lok Wastelands
13) Bandomeer Refinery Assault
12) Rhen Var: Research Facility
11) Imperial Convoy Raid
And now we move onto the real heavy hitters as we enter the Top Ten!
10) Rhen Var: Ice Plains
9) Endor Clearing
8) Battle of Ryloth
7) Escape From Hoth
6) Battle of Taloraan
Now we move into the Top Five, who will steel the Number One slot?
5) Tatooine: Bestine
4) Endor Strike Team
3) Encounter at Mos Entha
2) Tatooine: Mos Espa
And at Number One?
1) Battle of Yavin
I felt sure it would be Mos Espa at number one as that seems to be everyone's fave, but the stats don't lie, especially when you take into account the fact that BoY was released after the initial release.
So it would appear more people enjoy space than we realise (though I guess there is the added appeal of being a part of one of the key battles of the Star Wars saga too). Obviously the fact that the lowest 3 maps came from the latest release also reflects the fact that they have had the opportunity for far less playtime than the other maps, the top five featured all original release maps except for Yavin and Tatooine: Bestine, and 3 of the maps in the top 5 were Tatooine based maps, The only 2 original release maps not to make the top 5 were the space maps, interesting data to munch on. It gives you a nice indicator of what type of map people like to play.
