Topic: SO much black

Well I didnt see anything that did this, but I did see some similar stuff. First off I cant find any servers, I dunno if there arent any or what but I go to SP and start the deathstar battle and everything is black, if I spawn in a x or y wing the cockpit is totally black but I can shoot and see lasers and see the outlines of the cockpit but still it stays totally black. If I spawn as imp pilot I can see all the icons and change weapons but still everything else is black, unless I switch to pistol and shoot, then I can see  the laser and the outline of the gun and the laser hitting something. Please help I really wanna play this mod. Also I dont know if I have to set my client up to search for FS servers or not because I dont see any when I refresh.



P.S. I am using v1.50 of 2142, no expansion. I am also using a GeForce 8400M GS.

Go to options and turn view distance to 100%. Tell us if that works.

Need more info. Are you on Vista? If so look at the stickys above. As for servers..thats been covered so many times, a simple search would help.

I am not on Vista. I will try the view distance but I think it was already at 100%.

Well I had to reduce view distance and then put it back to 100% and now I can see, thanks. I will go search now for server problem.

Well I can join servers now which is cool but now PB is kicking me, I updated it manually and I searched "unknown api" and "131133" with nothing. I searched it in google and it seems this is a problem most people have with Steam games, particularly Steam Community In-Game.



Edit: Seems to be Fixed. On a hunch I closed down GSC and it seems to have worked.
