Re: Rebel Troopers

I was tempted to add in those troopers to Bestine [it has a very unique solider layout] I was going to reskin the rebel fleet officer, but I decided not to cause they look rather out of style tongue So now you get him as Officer class instead.

Re: Rebel Troopers

The page you posted has 3 pictures on it, 2 from Empire at War (The least acurate SW game in existance) and one picture from a New Hope showing the Alderaanian royal guard. Not much in the way of evidence imo.

So unless I'm mistaken the concept of rebel troops in alderaainin uniforms is entirely made up by other SW games. I haven't watched the movies in a while so I may be missing seeing rebel troops on home-one or Yavin base

If you have read the information, you would have understood. Not all of the troopers had the uniform we see on Tantive 4.

The task of supplying all Rebel troopers with standardized uniforms on a galactic scale was nearly impossible. Nevertheless the Alliance to Restore the Republic Army was able to implement a 'standard look' that would help identify the troopers as Rebels and therefore also improve morale and unit cohesion. The large helmets with neck guards and khaki uniforms became some of the trademarks of the Rebel / New Republic uniforms.

Rebel troopers of various units spread across the galaxy were often equipped with uniforms bearing a striking resemblance to the uniforms of the Alderaanian armed forces. Evidently Alliance sympathizers within the Alderaanian government helped fund, train and equip many militant groups outside the Alderaan system. The unadmitted military support of the Alliance was to such an extent that it helped shape the look of Rebel troopers for years to come. Even after the Destruction of Alderaan in 0 BBY, and perhaps because of it, many Rebel units began showing up in uniforms greatly inspired by the former Alderaanian armed forces.

The Alderaanian looking and most common uniform of the Rebel troopers consisted of blue shirts, black combat vests, grey trousers and black calf length boots. To protect officers and general infantry from head injuries, white blast helmets with blast visors and extended neck guards were issued as standard headwear. This basic uniform was seen all over the galaxy, often with smaller differences in design and coloring. Troopers who operated in more harsh environments such as hot deserts, icy planes or thick jungles, would often be equipped with more specialized uniforms and equipment. These uniforms were often similar or comparable to those of the SpecForce Wilderness Fighters

thats all we fight on.
Starwars consists of 1 climate planets.
And that really is enough reason to stick using the aesthetically superior RSF uniforms.

I imagine that any invasion of coruscant or a standard city could be done by rebel troopers, but the uniform would have to be reskinned and they need to look like they are carrying equipment (backpacks, holsters, webbing, maybe some chest armour) not just the pistol in their hands ala our Tantive buddies.

Give those bicycle helmets blast visors (as some models in the movies had) ala 2142 helmets and they might look more badass.

Re: Rebel Troopers

It's pretty weird how the forest uniforms are almost the same as the desert ones. And I didn't see any specialized Endorish uniforms on Yavin Four. There were a lot of bicycle helmet dudes though. We all know there was some fighting on Yavin 4 after the first Death Star blew up. General Dodonna was captured during the fight, the Imperials took over that base and the Rebels set up another base to harass the Imperials. The Rebs eventually get back the base, forcing the Imps to make another one.

I agree with having the blast visors. They are on the helmets, but just not used...
