I love those barrels. Once in Watto's junkyard a bunch of imperials newbs capped it while I was in the barrel. I capped it when they left. They came back, a couple of them got killed by me, then one guy just stuck his weapon in the barrel and let loose. The end. big_smile

I dont see the big deal over those pots. Twigs you were warning sumone on the new server the other day about them and TBH i found that to be a little nit picky.
         The reason the BI server fails to please people a lot of the time is they have far too many rules and they make the game so much more complicated than it has to be. Lets make this server a fun server, sure have sum rules but lets not get real anal over things, if people wanna play hardcore stick to strict rules games let them go and play on BI.

Yeah, I have to agree on the pots to be honest, there is a glitch factor in the way that you are impervious to fire and nades because you're in there, and an earthenware pot could no way take that sort of punishment, but it has only limited tactical advatage gameplay wise so I'm not too bothered about them. What would be cool to make things fairer and more realistic is if we could make them destructible objects, so you get limited cover, say they could take one grenade blast, but if you stayed in there after that, more fire would shatter the thing, that would be a pretty cool way to balance the thing.

That was more because he'd advance then jump in the pot, let his team get killed and remain in the pot without going anywhere further towards the cp.. Kind of takes away the point of playing an FPS multiplayer game, especially with only 6 people on. Eventually we got bored and just moved away to try and get some battles at a different area. No-one likes getting bogged down, but when your team members aren't assisting in anyway it doesn't help. Once people feel that the game is becoming repetitive and they aren't getting results they begin to leave.

Bi doesn't have too many rules, they are actually fairly simple, but very conflictive. You can roof in one area but not in another. Area's you cant roof on are mentioned, as is the type of building. Those with a poor grasp of English may believe that applies to all types of those buildings, and not realise that unmentioned maps can be utilised in that manner. Griefing is also mentioned and I have no idea what that means. Is it just being a general nuisance? Who decides when being stupid become being annoying and at what point to warn/kick/ban for it? Wouldn't different people have different levels of tolerance?

Also, of late I'm sorry to say it has become extremely flakey with some crashes blamed on the mod, yet other servers do not crash on those same maps.

Well other servers also do not experience the player numbers that BlackIntel receives on CG nights, to have a completely fair experiment we would need the same player count, the same map and everyone doing exactly the same thing but with two different server providers running, to see if it was the mod's fault or a server problem.
