Topic: Cannot get single player to run at all

I am at wits end here.  I have downloaded the game and tried to unzip the maps into the levels folder with no results.  I can only play one map on single player some Yavin map.  This mod really looks great and I am looking forward to diving in.  Any help with getting this going on Multi player and single player would be most appreciated.  The devs did an amazing job on this.  Look forward to the help thanks so much guys.

Normal First Strike is multiplayer only, except for yavin. There is a singleplayer mini-mod, available here which works as it's own entity and needs to be installed as a seperate mod.  Download that and allow it to install to it's default locations, then launch the game using the desktop/startmenu shortcut it provides.

You can't put the singleplayer stuff into the Multiplayer version of the mod, Im afraid.  If you do manage to the maps working correctly on singleplayer, they will break on Multiplayer, as some of the map versions the SP mod uses are out-of-date, and changing original FS files will cause Punkbuster issues if you try to join a server.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Yea I downloaded the v 1.4 client but cannot find any active FS servers and refreshing doesnt help.  I want to play badly so I tried to download the mini mod but for the life of me I cannot get that loaded right.  I get a bunch of errors.  It says to extract it to my bf2142 folder which I try to and I get a ton of errors as files try to load.    Any help with installing the mini mod and finding active FS multiplayer servers would be awesome.

Have you set up your server filters correctly?

If by 'active' you mean servers with players on, the best times to find games are 19GMT onwards on Saturday and Sunday.

Bookmark this page and check it regularly.

Also, if you join an empty server other people checking game-monitor might join you.
