Topic: trouble with outpostassault

i have tried downloading the map outpost assault but i can't get it to work. i downloaded the map and then i read the read me file and it said to place outpostassault.exe to the first strike levels folder but i cant find the folder. please help

It's not in your First Strike Launcher folder.
Go to your Battlefield 2142 game folder, then mods -> FirstStrike -> Levels

Battlefield 2142\mods\FirstStrike\levels

File the .exe there and execute it. Should work wink

Default location is usually something along the lines of

C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Battlefield 2142/Mods/firststrike/levels
C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition/Mods/firststrike/levels
C:/Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/Battlefield 2142/Mods/firststrike/levels
C:/Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition/Mods/firststrike/levels

i've gotten to the battlefield2142/mods/first strike file but i can't find levels. all that is there is a file named cache

Ah, okay, you're looking in the wrong Battlefield 2142 folder. It's not the one in "My Documents" (Assuming that you have W7). That's your personal BF2142 folder where screenshots, your soldiers, settings etc. are being stored.

You need to look for the levels folder in the Battlefield 2142 game folder. The game folder normally is in Program Files, as Gwynzer said.

alright i found the battlefield2142game folder and moved outpost assault to the levels folder but when i finished extracting it like the read me file said nothing happened.

You should now have another folder in the levels folder called outpostassault.
