Ok, so while I was waiting for FS servers to come online, I decided to play some vanilla 2142. Well, whenever I get into a game, I'm always kicked by PB! What the hell, dude?

Are you sure you're running the latest version of 2142 (1.5)?

If yes, it's probably caused by PB not running properly. Make sure pnkbstrA.exe and pnkbstrB.exe are allowed in your firewall.

If you still get problems, PB might be unable to update automatically. You can try to update it manually:

I can't seem to even find the files pnkbstrA.exe and pnkbstrB.exe....this is bogus

No..they exist. Start task manager, go to processes. You'll see two things running PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB, or should. You can right click on them and select file location to go to where they are.

Alternatively just follow Benus link to manually install and update punkbuster.

I updated and I looked in my task manager and STILL cant find em!

Make sure you have "show processes of all users" checked in the task manager.
