Great job guys ! I really loved the Wastelands (and yeah, I'm back)

However, as always, I'm here to piss you off. I can't play Endor anymore - Just after the Wastelands, the server changed to Endor. I tried to join it three times, it resulted in three crashes (enter sadface here)

Although I have thought every version of First Strike I've ever played was amazing, I would like to give another "thank you" for the work all the devs and testers have put in for the new release. From the new maps, to the new gorgeous appearance of Strike at Endor and such- it is all awesome. Hopefully you will be rewarded with higher player counts   big_smile

Thanks for the kind words.

The release has been marred a bit by the EA/Gamespy EA Master Server issue (they always seem to break the game just as we release something roll), but they'll sort that out soon. Over all we seem to have got a good strong release with mostly positive feedback, currently ranking No.2 most popular mod over on ModDB and with the release announcement as the most popular news and many downloads of the mod occurring. There are a few issues of our own making however that we intend to see resolved as soon as possible with a (or a series of) hot fix patches/updates to sort out any issues that have arisen on release. One long standing problem that we've just recently had a breakthrough with is the Yavin Nvidia graphics card bug. Soon everyone should be able to enjoy that popular First Strike map to the full.

We'll keep you informed of any further updates.

I want to take the opportunity to lend a huge thank you to the developers for the efforts put into the 1.5 release -- the devs who have done a herculean effort getting a lot of work done (I particularly pity Twigs, who really put his heart, soul and possibly parts of his sanity into the 1.5 code), and Talon for keeping the team going with morale high even while everything was looking fairly grim. A toast to all of ya smile .
