I must say this has been the strangest Patch release I've ever seen from EA or any other company for that matter. tongue

Has there been an official statement yet?

I also noticed something via joshino's link about them improving hit detection.  I wonder if that will translate to improvements with fast moving spacecraft in a galaxy far, far away?

Hey, is anyone else having issues connecting to the EA Master Server after selecting your soldier? It can't connect for me, and I just installed the patch... is there a bug or is the server just down or something for the update?

Not had the chance to check out the 'newest' version of the update, however the Rebel Defiance server HAS been updated now to 1.51 'final'!

I've downloaded it from Fileplay today, yet when I try to run the installer a get this error.

Was your first download just over 1 GB? I downloaded it today and though it said the file should be 2 GBs it suddenly ended at just over 1. I didn't try it as I knew the file size was supposed to be 2, so now I'm redownloading the thing, and it seems to be headed towards the full 2 GB as expected. Perhaps Fileplay had some error which effects the download occassionally or something?
