Topic: Servers are Red

I recently built a new PC and reinstalled BF2142, patched it to 1.41, then to 1.5, then installed FS, 1.50, then realized a patch for 2142 was out, so then i installed that, but for some reason on First Strike, it says I have an older version and i cant join, the server names are in red font. I don't understand what I did wrong, can someone help, thanks.

Have you got the latest First Strike launcher update installed? Also note that one of the FS servers ( =SBB= ) has not yet updated to 1.51. At the moment the only updated server is the Rebel Defiance one.

I don't know if I do, can you send me a link, so I can make sure? Also, both servers were red.

There is no link to a file, if you're using the First Strike Launcher it should autoupdate with the new patch for the launcher. Has this happened?

Yes it has, I even just reinstalled FS altogether. I'm using Win 7 64bit too by the way.

This looks like the correct thread to post this in.

I have 2142BF and the offical 1.51 patch that came out last month. It plays fine.

I just downloaded the FS mod today and did all the updates. When I go to the server list, I can see 5 servers - all are in red (clicking on them gives the wrong version error).

I seen on the 2142BF UK forum, that a few people recently downloaded the FirstStrike mod and had the same problem. Someone said they were going to look into it but should post on this forum.

I'm running Windows XP pro

The force is strong with this one....

What are any of the servers called?  As far as I know there are only 3 servers (possibly 4) running First Strike, one has the wrong version.  By knowing what servers show up, we can maybe figure out what the problem is.
