Topic: First encounter

Hi all,

I would like to thank you for your hard work. I'm impatient to enjoy your mod. I just buy the EADM (Electronics Arts Download Manager) version of the game to play especially with your mod. I hope this version will be compatible with First Strike 1.5 ! Could you confirm it, please ?

I would like to know too where I could find an installation process for beginner.

EADM version works with First Strike (its the one I use).

Download and install BF2142
Download and install BF2142 patch 1.5
Download and install BF2142 patch 1.51
Download and install First Strike (download section of this site)

Run the First Strike launch program. It will automatically update itself and the game and should then run.

If you get a crash when using the First Strike application please try the following:

In the launcher click file, then preferences. In the field titled arguments enter your display resolution, eg +szx 1920 +szy 1080

Click apply/save then exit that window and try to launch the game again.

Download and install BF2142 patch 1.5 Done
Download and install BF2142 patch 1.51 Done
Download and install First Strike Done
Update First Strike Launcher Done
Check for Mod Updates Done

All is working perfectly with my system:

i7 960@3.3Ghz, 3Go DDR3, Microsoft Vista, eVGA X58 SLI, eVGA GTX480, Iiyama ProLite 26", Seagate Barracuda 1To.

The Mod is a piece of work. Interface, music, ambient, maps, etc...All is well executed and a thousand better that Battlefront. All I need to know, now is, how to add server and where to find them. Thanks

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Same version only.....checked

...but only 3 servers in my list....sigh

....and empty

Otherwise, I couldn't wait to strike these b.... of rebels . lol

Sounds normal.  Check back on weekends or join a server and hope someone sees you.
