I dont know, where I should open this Topic, so i opened it in suggestions. I have made a modell from Boba Fetts EE3. I only want to ask, if the team could use it. pics:

Hmmmm? I thought we'd already responded to this? Was there another thread somewhere about an EE3? I'm a fan of Boba Fett's weapon too, but there really isn't a place for it with the game utilising primarily the two main factions of GCW era Star Wars, those being obviously the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. That said we did have a limited Bounty Hunter kit which this would clearly be suitable for, but it is not something we'll be looking into at this time due to the very limited use it had. Perhaps something for the future, but we have a full slate with current projects at the moment. Though we do have another weapon on the sidelines that we might look at introducing, will have to keep you informed regarding that.

Just cos we dont see rebs with them is no reason not to include it.
Support trooper seems to get the oddball weapons, presumably beacuse he's the squad nerd/techinician. Militarised jawa ion guns? Modified wookie automated energy crossbows?

These things didnt appear in the Movies either but sure as eggs, there'll be a few crossbows and jawa ion guns in the trenches at Hoth when the map is released.
Skin the gun black and silver so it fits visually with the FS guns and assume some rebel /imperial technicians got their hands on them through the black market (purchasing and confiscating them respectively) and decided to hang on to them.

Looking at the wookipedia thingee, it says that the gun is a carbine. Would be nice addition to the support class to have a machine pistol close quarters gun, like tankers are supposed to carry.
If you want to do the scoped version, might be able to switch to single shot for zoomed takedowns.

Have to admit I'm not a big fan of having humans packing the Wookiee Bowcaster either, just has never looked quite right to me. Always prefer the Imperial Support Trooper with the more apt MG-15 (RT-97C). The EE3 is certainly a weapon we have considered for inclusion in the past, it is just finding a suitable place for it, and even as a carbine style affair it still pretty much fulfils the same purpose and firing style of the current weapons used by the Support Trooper. Could perhaps have it replace the Bowcaster, but the weapon is too similar in style and function to be a secondary option in addition to the Bowcaster/MG-15 when you consider how all our other weapons loadout options are designed to afford that class different functions depending on the weapon chosen. Blast/Flechette (close quarters), Assault Rifle (all-rounder) and Sniper Rifle (long range) for the standard trooper for example, it just doesn't really fit in with the design model.

If it was finished up (textures, animations and coding), I could add it to the singleplayer mod.   It could be part of a pick up kit.

I personally think of the Rebels as a rag-tag do what you can with what you find lying around type of group.

Kind of like rebels in the real world.

Rebels have guns from WW1 (Mauser C96 have been found on them recently), WW2 (enfield bolt action rifles currently in use), modern guns etc in real life.

I think it was Lucas' intention that the rebels be this way in SW too in my opinion.

So I think it would be fitting to have some different weapon types for the rebels only on almost every map (not the Imperials ofc).

Not as the standard kit necessarily, but could be one pick-up kit lying around a base or half buried in the snow, etc.

Say in the center of the action and one time per round spawn though so no camping. Even better would be to have it in the direct line of fire of the enemy.

I personally think this would add to realism in that it adds variety to the rebel weapons.

Could be the bounty hunter pistol at the rebel spawn in the Hoth base, the EE3 half buried in the snow by the trench out in the open in the Imperial approach lane, maybe something like that.

Might have that large blade that replaces the knife somewhere too etc.
