Sure, I'll probably not be about tonight, but I'll certainly be around tomorrow night for some epic First Strike action. Battle of Yavin in particular is fantastically epic with live players mixed with the 40 bots that our server has running on that map currently. With that much flak flying over the Death Star surface you can't fail to get some great movie moments. Just the other night I was an Imperial Pilot tracking an X-Wing, just about to make my killing shot when another X-Wing swooped in out of nowhere suddenly filling my viewport and blasted me to atoms, practically shot for shot like the sequence where Wedge gets that TIE off Luke's tail, right down to the angles and trajectory that the two X-Wings peeled on and off the screen, beyond epic. Wish I'd got a screenshot.

It's the perfect re-enactment of moments like that which is what First Strike is all about.

Make sure you delete all copies of FirstStrike exe from your 2142 directory. Note that there is a FirstStrike icon, make sure you delete the right FS! I may have just deleted the icon, or I may have had a new exe made by the launcher.

In any case , once you're sure all the exes are gone, copy 2142 exe (make sure the 2142exe is working on 1.5 servers) and rename the copy FirstStrike exe.

That worked.
