It could possibly be put onto that (we were already approached by them in fact), the main issue is with licensing, being a Star Wars based non-profit product there are some copyright issues. If Desura actually make money off the back of First Strike and in turn Star Wars that could cause trouble. You are right though, there might also be complications between our Autoupdater and their system, but I'm sure that could be ironed out. At the moment it is more the legal issues which prevent us from going on Desura.
Hmmm, well if they have that on there, then maybe we should have a look at it again. As I said, when we were first approached they, and we were worried about the legal issues. Maybe they've found a way around them, or they don't make money directly through the distribution of the mods.
Just went over their site. I can find nothing that should violate any licensing terms for spreading a *free* mod using their software. It's basically the same as having it hosted on filefront as far as I can tell.
I can't really say how the autopatcher would work using their service, as I've not tried it myself yet, however a simple way to get it running is just to launch the autopatcher from their service, instead of trying to luanch first strike directly.
BlackIntel Game Leader DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated. I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.
