I just finished starting from scratch. Per Twigs in another post, I installed 2142, patch 1.5,  patch1.51, & First Strike.

I did attempt to play 1.51 before installing FS, almost all of the servers showed red and I got an unmodified content trying to connect to two white ones.

After installation, when launching FS I get "First Strike stopped responding". I've tried with & without "+widescreen 1", which I'm not sure I need since 2142 used to get auto-centered on my ViewSonic 27".

There must have been some leftovers or reg entries for the pre FS install  modified content error? I do have Revo-Unistaller, and I did not use it to remove the programs the first time. Maybe I need to try that. I see a lot of fixes in the forums, but thay are primarily for older releases, so I held off.

If you got a modified content error when trying to connect to vanilla servers, something obviously went wrong when you updated 2142. Are you sure you used the final 1.51 patch? Try re-downloading it from here http://www.gamershell.com/download_69646.shtml. Reinstall 2142, then 1.5, then this 1.51 final patch.

Hi Mem, long time no see. From the sound of it you have issues with BF2142, and will need to rectify these before you can even think of installing First Strike. The biggest issue seems to be with making sure you have the correct final patch for BF2142 1.51.

This link that Twigs posted recently is to the correct final version of the BF2142 1.51 patch, download it and see if it matches the one you're currently using.

Re-downloaded both 1.50 & 1.51 from http://www.gamershell.com

Uninstalled all with Revouninstaller.
Installed BF2142.
Installed both 1.50/1 & rebooted.
Installed FS 1.5 & rebooted.

Playing now!!  big_smile   THX Guys!
