Topic: Retro maps

Hi my name is ****** and I am new here and I already have an idea if you FS people don't mind to here it.

This idea is like a new map pack idea. If you guys ever made any new map packs, could you ad Clone war era map? Like Republic vs CIS or non canon maps like Rebels vs CIS, Empire vs Republic and vice versa?

I know this is a lot to ask but it gets boring to play by ones self for a few week with no one on your servers at all. I mean no one plays FS any more from what I can see, and the only servers that do pop up are empty. So new maps or retro maps would be awesome to play in single player.

I also have this other idea where as you play as the commander your automatically a hero unit, like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader.

Heros are out - not allowed by lucasarts modding guidelines.

As far as other eras, that would require more developers.   

But the 4 NOV 2011 update for First Strike is going to have a big improvement in SP/coop support:  More sp/coop supported maps and vehicles with many AI improvements.

Also, have you tried the FSX a singleplayer focused mod?   It has many BF2142 map conversions (with custom Star Wars textures) and some maps created for First Strike that are fun even if they are not as polished as the official maps.
