So I just had my first 2 on 1 battle on Parmel Invasion. Awesome map, reminds me of Judicator from GC.
However the performance was not very good. Playable but very choppy in most instances. I don't know if this is due to LODs or complex collision meshes. My FPS actually dropped from the usual 100max to as low as 70 at times. Also a weird issue...the 1person weapons looked...wiggly...lol...like the models would flicker and such...really weird.
Yeah, we're probably going to have to look at further optimizing the station mesh as it does stutter a bit in there on occasion. Still fun to play, but we'll have to see what we can do to smooth things out a little.
We can increase the bot count on the co-op maps, if you're talking about larger map sizes for co-op too that is a little more involved unless the entire map has been made bot friendly, Dnamro is already working towards this and making more and more sophisticated map assets bot compatible. Just look at how well they perform on Nesmazzda and that small combat area on Jundland.
However what we really need to show people what this mod is really capable of is more people playing. We've had a steady trickle, but nowhere near the numbers expected, a full server of live players is what is really going to allow this mod to shine and bring more people into the fold, so we need to work towards making that happen. Come on clans and community members, let's get some big games organized.
