Topic: New HOW-TO install bf2142, version 1.51

In order to play FIRSTRIKE mod, we need bf2142 game pathed to 1.51 and ready to play.

HOW-TO:
1) You have to have:
a) Origin digital version ob BF2142 (can not be bought any more);
b) Old physical DVD installation media (can be old, secound hand, you don't need unused key);
c) warez DVD clone iso release (e.g. google for "rzr-2142.iso" torrent, size=3,5 GB).

2) If you have a) your game is allready patched to 1.51 version.
3) If you have b) or c) you must pach you game with this patch BF2142_Patch_1.51.exe (size=2 GB).

NOTE: BF2142 version 1.51 is required to run First Strike. For old retail versions of BF2142, users need to install the 1.4 patch, then the 1.50 patch, followed by the 1.51 patch. More recent retail buyers, and owners of the deluxe edition, need only to install 1.50 followed by 1.51.

4) Install DETHKLOK CLAN's "NEW STATS SERVER EXE", the file Stats-Install-V2.exe (size=only 5 MB)

5) Start the BF2142 game, and "set up/create" a new account, set up a new soldier. (Note: Do not provide your real email or birthday, because the game is redirected to DETHKLOK CLAN's servers. EA don't support and sells this game any more!)

6) If you did all the above steps you will be able to play 1.51 pathced game: SP, MP online (on DETHKLOK CLAN's server) and even local LAN smile

7) If you don't need MP, but only SP, then you can skip step 5) and create offline account like this http://forums.fsmod.com/viewtopic.php?id=11120

Sounds interesting, thanx. There's an official cumulative patch though which is an upgrade from BF 2142 vanilla (1.00) to final (v1.51) . It's a ~2 Gigs dl.

This is an all-in-one patch, you can just install it on whatever 2142 version you have, it will upgrade it to final (v1.51).

It's not the place or the time what's really important in the Universe but the speed ...

There is still a problem with trying to unintstall and reinstall BF2142 and apply patches, because the 1.51 patch gives an error message in win 7 that a newer version already exists.   This is the reason I am staying with the Origin version, because it installs to the newest version.  I haven't found a work around for the other yet.
