Topic: singleplayer map list plans & status

The following link is a list of all the First Strike maps to include First Strike Extended maps and a status of the singleplayer in each one.  Some are variants of existing maps of existing maps that would be easy to set up.   Feel free to provide feedback in this forum on what you most like to see next or would be a waste of time.

For instance, I received a comment that a player would really like to see the AI improved on Yavin, as it was one of there favorite maps.

I see outpost assault there, you got the latest version?  I'm not sure how public it went. It has multiple gamemodes and a 451546.ogg under sound_client/ambience

Hey Gwynzer,

I don't see any sound client in the latest version that I have.   the credits file is dated 6/27/2010.   The only gamemode that I see is gpm_cq\32.  If you have a newer version please send.   I have all the AImeshes ready to navmesh.  I believe I that I just need to convert all bundled meshes into static meshes and I should be able to navmesh.

It's in a self extracting exe. I think it was packaged up this way as it was part of the BI leaving event and was the easiest way to get people to install it with minimal issues.

I'm also sitting on two versions of Null Spectre Station, which was a zombie mode of the map based on Twigs' story. One version is packaged like Outpost Assault, but I've a newer version which I think ben prepped to have basic AI support. It's available here.

Thanks for the maps.   I can definitely use spectre station.  I plan to add eventually add full AI support for Null station, but for now I can pull the scaled down combat area and navmesh over from Null station for single player in spectre.   I also want to pull the custom player models and kits into the mod to use on other night maps with survival gameplay.    I also know why the kit icons are showing up as blanks and how to fix it.  The kits don't have rifles which are in the main weapon slot 3.   I will clone the pistols and move to slot 3 so they will show up in the kit icons on the spawn screen.

I will check out the new verison of outpost assault as well.

Zombie/survivor kits are in the mod now and testing out on Mos Espa Night.   I was looking for something to change the gameplay of the map and this is perfect.      Meelee weapons and pistols are now in the primary weapon slot so that they appear in hand by default and so the kit selection menu now has icons.    I need to make the melee weapons more deadly.   I am changing the map setup so that rebels start out with only 1 flag in the middle of the map, so that the Zombie imps attack from multiple directions.   You have to control all flags to win.  Basically if you lose all flags your team can't respawn and the round ends when the last team member is killed.   I really like playing with just Pistols and a few grenades on the Rebel side.   I am going add ammokit because it isn't fun to run out of ammo.   Maybe later, I will add pickup weapon kits around the map and keep the the ammo restriction.

Got a few more maps/variants I found from when BI was doing the I-CW series with custom and community maps. Some maps we modified a touch to fix some issues, and some of those maps have since been released and in a much better state tongue  Some maps had custom kits etc, so there may be inclusions of vehicles and items which ended up in the final game in a much better state.

Parmel I-CW variant - Honestly can't remember what we did for the ICW in this, it was way before the map got released, so it's probably just rubbish.
Ryloth Mines I-CW variant - Ryloth Mines (nighttime cave map), complete with ziplines and light grenades.
Dathomir Prison Break I-CW variant - We were doing some stuff with Dath as part of BIFS when that was on the go (mainly around the prison), not sure if this had the more "busy" prison or not.
X-wing vs TIE Fighter I-CW - ??? Maybe an early version of Parmel?


I also have what I think is a slightly touched up Rhen Var citadel. Not actually sure if there was any changes, I'd assume so if I've stored it? Who knows.


Also got a carbone hill ICW thing, but I think I just packaged up that map, I don't think it was worth doing anything else to it.
