Do you own BF2: Yes
Mod Experience: 1 year of Star Wars Battlefront mapping/modelling
Expertise In : XSI modelling. Im no master at XSI but Im pretty confident at it .
Coding: non
tweaking in editor: non
editing .con files: non
Animating: very little XSI animation
Modeling: Yes , about 9 months with softimage XSI
Texturing: Yes , I can texture my models. I can make Textures to pretty good standard
Mapping: Yes , but only with the Star Wars Battlefront (SWBF) mod tools ( BFbuilder/Zeroedit)
Sound Engineering: Yes , I have a HND qualification in Sound Engineering and can make new SFX BUT have no knowledge of getting sounds into BF2
2D Art Designing:non

I would love to join you guys and make static props for your maps (you seem to be doing a great job with the vehicles ,weapons etc)

I have no experience whatsoever with modding BF2 .I only have skill/knowledge modelling in Softimage XSI (since thats all I needed for SWBF modding).

I am unaware if BF2 can use XSI and/or if XSI formats can be converted to work in BF2. In fact I dont know what program/s you use when modelling for BF2.

I would like to model for BF2 since the game gives you much more scope to work with than SWBF. ( in general the polygon count limit for props in SWBF is 200 ....tho it can be pushed ....Iv pushed it too far on occasion smile ) . As you can tell by the 2 Palpatine office pics the thing that REALLY sticks out is the crappy gun models compared to BF2.



PS. On another note I am a qualified Sound Engineer and can make all new 'Star Warsy' SFX but again ,due to my complete newbyness with modding BF2 , I have no experiance of getting SFX in game.

Hey Bandu, I don't have time to read over your post in detail at the moment, but I will look it over either later today or tomorrow, and get back to you about the modelling aspect of your "resume." I'm sure one of the sound engineers can talk to you about your sound editing skills as well.

Hey Lord Bandu, thanks for taking the time to register and post on our forums. That's some nice work you've done there. We use GMax, 3D Studio Max, and some members use Maya. As long as you can convert your files into something supported by 3D Studio Max you should be ok.

For sounds, as long as you can make them you're good to go. The coders will put them in the game. Please wait for a response from one of our modelers and good luck.

Thanks for the quick responces guys .

I actually have 3D Studio max but I have never got round to learning it since I only modeled for SWBF.   I could export from XSI as either IGES or .OBJ into Max.

oh and props dont really have a limit in BF engine your be please to know.. ya just cant take the mick if ya catch me drift big_smile
