in the cockpit will it show like a flashing red warning where you have been hit and if it's critical that WOULD be awsome

How will the x-foils work? Will it be when the player reaches a certain speed or can they press a button?

I think you should just be able to flip them on and off as long as your moving. Just when they are  down, you can't shoot but maybe your more agile? and when they are up you lose some agility but you can fire?
