I think the best we can do is have the SSD in the skydome as a picture  or a pretty basic model slowly moving in the distance ... something to that effect anyway.

I also hope the SD has a big hangar. And I know there must be a way to edit BF2 where you can have map sizes past 1024x1024

The ISD has a HUGE hangar, true to the movies ( I mean come on, you can fit a Correllian Corvette in there ) and I believe the max map size in BF2 is 2048 x 2048.
