Alot of talk about FS occurs on the Lucasarts forum btw. All comments are along the lines of this being far better looking than Battlefront 2 .

As a modeller/mapper in the Star Wars Battlefront community I can tell you a large number of people who are very impressed with FS dont actually have Battlefield 2 but loads of people are intending to buy BF2 just so they can play FS!! big_smile .

I am an admin on gametoast.com (the home of SWBF1/2 modding) and once FS is out and the files are released for the 'fans' to make their own custom maps with our models etc I can almost guarantee there will be a BF2 First Strike modding section on gametoast.com.

I wouldnt worry about the popularity of FS . I dont. Gametoast has about 2000 active star wars fanatic gamers .....

Yep I'm one of those people wink gonna buy BF2 once this mod comes out (hoping for a cheaper price and now most of the other mods are in there finally stages).

Yep, I'm working on this mod and I haven't even played BF2 since last summer.  I probably won't play again until we get a release out.  hehe I can't wait.

Things are up and down in the texturing department but Rifle, Blitz and Golden Dragon are ripping their hair out because they are so busy getting everything QC'ed, coded and ingame.

I have been on this site, almost every day looking for further information and such, I am really not the posting type but I really do read alot of the forum. It really gives me an idea of whats to come. I am here all the time just dont notice it smile

Never heard of this. I guess this is Operation Flashpoint 2? Looks cool, I'm going to keep an eye on it.
