well no not really. remember GC with there capital ships the only lag came when immature idiots rammed them together causing polys to go mental.as long as they didnt move that fast then it would be fine

It's caled EA and their crappy engine coding. Did you know that EA makes some of the worst game engines?? GO play the Ranbow 6 : Lockdown demo and look at the graphics you can get on that!!
But anyways, they're just too big to move. It wouldn't hurt to ty, but I think they know what they're talking about.
too be honest if you were to have the capital ships set as helicopters without the tilt. minimize the polygons to the bare limit of them but still have the detail in the skin that way you limit the fps lag. and to be honest ea didnt choose the code dice did. python from what i'm told is is very easy to code with and change for your own good you just have to be imaginative
Well even if they were able to move, the map isn't large enough to handle their movement.
Hey, you got your Star Wars in my Star Trek!! Generalandrew = FS's Offical Band Geek!! "I'm gonna kick you in the balls through TCP/IP!!!" - Andrew_Kirk_25 <SpecterWolf> That's ok.. I blew him as well as a few of his buddies up that ditched an apc.. Explosions ftw!
I'm not going to comment on which, if any, capital ships will be pilotable or not but you will be able to dock into capital ships with smaller aircraft.
^^^^When you say dock do you mean just take a ship and land in the hangar? Or will it be possible as the first post asked to dock with another ship, meaning that say a smaller ship was able to pull alongside the big capital ships and latch on to a docking hatch and board by just walking from one ship to the other? If this could be implemented this would add a whole new dynamic to boarding and make the game (in my opinion) a whole lot more realistic and entertaining.
