crappy dosn't begin to cover it, lol. Another question. U guys remember how in star wars when a blaster hit anyone, or anything, there where sparks, and faint lingerin smoke? I don't mean to put anyone on the spot, but what kinda blaster effects can we look foward to?

Sorry about the rapid fire, but I've got another question. Battlefield has always had the ugliest destroyed viechle models I've ever seen in a current gen game. When u blow em they go completely black and get all crinkley. Whats up with that? And the biggest surprise for me was that most of mods (my knowledge on em all is anything but complete tho) inluding GC kept that same, nasty style. Why is this? Is it some wierd thing to do with the engine? More importantly will FS have destroyed viechle models like this?

i believe(dont quote me) big_smile that there is a preset way the engine handles the explosions to vehicles. when we model a vehicle we model a wreckage mesh. and texture it.. its handled then on engine side to my knowledge. and the seperations "i believe are random"

I agree with you 100% on that ArcAngel227. I've always hated the small black hull left behind after an explosion. I will be coding most of the vehicles so I can assure you that I will put extra effort into making some good explosion effects and wreckages.

If its worth anything, I saw some screens from that neat lego mod. The viechles, when exploding break into a whole load of pieces, and don't turn black. Proof of concept? Lol, I still like how responsive this team is.

I love the effects from Brickfield! The "POW!" and the little bricks that fly everywhere, awesome. I've worked with armor effects, effect bundles and particles so I know how to make the effects like you're asking.
