Map description: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Battle_of_Hoth - See here for osme influence. The Rebels have escaped the surface of Hoth and now must try to battle through the Imperial blockade. The entire planet is surrounded by Star Destroyers, but one has been mostly disabled by the planetary ion cannon. The transports are heading past this one to try and escape. However, the star destroyer's hangars are still in working order, and it is launching squadrons to intercept the transports. Two Rebel Frigates, answering the rebel distress call, arrive on the scene and start to deploy fighters.

NOTE: If there's a way to make the rebel fighters spawn on Hoth and fly instantly up to space (essentially a spawn point in space which spawns fighters), we could remove the frigates. I added them to the story for spawn points.

Gameplay Description: (Not sure if possible to implement) - The Empire has 15 minutes to destroy the Gallofree transports, if they do, they win. If the Rebels can destroy the ISD (heavily damaged and disabled, remember, they win. If the Rebels hold out for 15 mins, they also win.

Vehicles: 1 immboile weaponless ISD, 2 Neb-B frigates, other things shown above.
Extra notes: Double all vehicle numbers for 64, halve for 16.

sounds fun! the only thing wrong, is that 15 minutes is NOT enough time. I mean... it takes me half that time just to load a map in the first place.  And with FS modifications will take even longer.  Perhaps if the FS team manages to get an Escort mode working, it would be more reasonable.  They have their hands full already though tongue

I like this idea, to be honest I never really thought about making this as a map. Could make an interesting battle, especially with this 'escort' code, I keep hering about. This might be a good idea for the future.

As a suggestion, perhaps only one transport could "leave" Hoth at a time, thus making it more difficult for the Rebels.  However, the time limit could then be scrapped and added a new objective, possibly (though I think it may be unbalanced like this) 3/6 of the transports have to make it out alive for the Rebels to win?

yeah that sounds cool like PRMM they did extract mode very well. And you know what they say the only way to make great things even greater is put them in space.........well they dont say that but it sounds nice hmm
