Topic: Out of the Car now, *****!

Ahem. Well glad thats outa my system. Well, anyway I was watching return of the Jedi the other night. And when I got to the part where chewie an his little ewok freind highjacked that AT-St It gave me another one of my patented Arc Ideas. That names patented (copyrighted, whatever) too. Boarding (highjacking) seems to have worked great in star wars on 2 occastions, the return of the jedi, and episode 3 when the wookies swung out on vines to plant charges on driod tanks before bailing. And Halo 2. wink I was wondering how hard boarding would be to implement.
Wouldn't it be possible to make an extra 'seat'/possition on a few ground viechles, that would allow someone from any team to get into it. This 'boarding position' could be made so that a boarder would have to jump/run right up close to it to get in it, and noone can switch from anyother positions into it. The boarder in this position could use his weapons, so he can unload his powercell into the driver and passenger, jump out and take the viechle. Or on other viechles where the position doesn't have the line of sight to hit the crew they can place charges before bailing.
Imagine a AT-ST with a boarding position just behind the roof's hatch. To get into the position, boarders would have to find a way to jump down onto it from above (maybe from overhead trees (endor) vines (any jungley place) or overhead bridges, then press enter to grab hold of the position. Then the boarder can take out the crew chewie style, hop down, and then take control. Or imagine for some heavy tanks, or speeders, the position could be under the tank, where the boarder would be holding on to it's undercarridge, safe from prying eyes while he places charges. To get into the position he would have to lye prown then crawl under the tank. Imagine the intensity of the moment, as the battle rages around you, and you do your best to sneak from around the corner of an alley way, crawl under the tank, place your charges, then run so u can set them off (or try to get away from the timed blast yikes ).

lol yea those elevators on mon calamari were kind of stuttery in a way or too plain tbh no offence but then again those were made out of bf1942 graphics which weren't the best

Re: Out of the Car now, *****!

yea, great idea tbh except it would be really difficult to do because in BF2 you can't eneter a vehicle with an enemy, so really the only thing you could do is get into the vehicle but not in one of the positions you can take that strap you in

Re: Out of the Car now, *****!

cool idea, however I see it causeing many types of problems such as when you're about to be run over, you press e, and voila, you're safe under the hull or whatever the extra position would be (I think it's posslbe code-wise though). this isn't something we've come up with so gratz on the novel idea wink
