Maybe on the Hoth level vehicles such as the AT-AT could have a base that is a little less than ground level so that part of their feet seem to be slightly submerged in the snow.

I think there was a mod for BF1942 where some tanks could drive into the water smile

I think that FH also gave tanks the ability to go through water.

thats just coding
it depended on the coding of the vehicle (after all thats how they get boats and such)
they simply coded those "tanks" as apc's (cause thats wut they were)

sorry haven't played bf2 in a while, personally, right now bf42 is still more fun. I expect this mod to change that though.
