I remember watching one of the videos of the titan mode. When the enemy boarded the ship a voice said "Warning, enemy presense detected." or something like that... maybe 2142 already has part of what you are thinking. You could have this play on a loop when an enemy trips a security laser in a base.

Lol. What I really want to see is warning alarms that tell you which part of the ship the enemy is in. Like 'Enemy troops have breached teh hangar bay perimiter all troops report to duty stations at once.' But for each part of the ship. And should they get to the bridge, maybe the guy could be like half way through teh warning when you hear a blaster shot and screams. smile

Btw, I'm pretty sure that laser trip mine are already in. At least they showed off a model of one. I think. Can't check cause the sites down lol. lol

Say, that laser grid is sweet! An excellent way to show that its off bounds to the enemy, and being very star wars like at the same time!

Also, I think we should limit frag grenades to 1 per person to avoid grenade spamming. Believe me, im the best at nailing throngs with grenades, but its incredibly un star wars like.... remember the storm troopers boarding the blockade runner at the start of episode IV?

If that was with explosives and grenades, then the first 100 stormtroopers would have gone down under a hail of grenades and claymroe explosions.

Of course, none of the rebels or imperials would bother to use their lasers.

This is what would happen if first strike kept claymroes and grenades how they currently are. Still fun, but not star wars, and less fun than if they were reduced and lasers made more powerful.

Make grenades and claymores specific to a kit that needs to be picked up. Or just get rid of them altogether on certain levels.

I think grenades were not used in starwars becasuse of how expensive and dangerous they were, definitly illeagal. One of the only times a grenade was used in the movies was the thermal detonator in episode VI, and everyone was shocked to see it. People would be afraid of grenades anyway, but in a place like Jabbas palace you would think they would be used to that sort of thing if grenades were very common. Just look at how much damage the couple of charges Han threw inside of that huge shield generator did and you can get an idea of what a grenade might do. It only took luke one grenade to destroy an AT-AT. AT-STs are supposed to have a side mounted grenade launcher, but it never launched anything during the movies. FS grenades should be very powerful, but the kit(s) that have thermal detonators should only have one long fused grenade that flashes and beeps like it did in the movie so everyone can get away. I think thermal detonators should also be given the flash bang effect because of how powerful they are. EMP grenades should be renamed ION grenades and they can probably be left as they are. frag grenades might be common, but the thermal detonator is definitly something special and should probably be an unlock of the highest tier.

I like the idea of having the grenades and claymores be included as a kit that can be picked up, but I'm not really into the idea of having them as part of a normal kit either.
