Re: E3 as we Know it, No More.

The publishers are going to have their own conferances now (microsoft, nintendo, sony, ea, you know the big guys). E3 wasn't intended for the general public, it was supposed to be media and industry folks.

True. But as I am not among their number, I am not so happy with this.

Re: E3 as we Know it, No More.

^exactly...the big names spend vast amounts of money to promote their products and compete against rival booths, the media spends money to send people there to cover it, a small number (relatively) of people get in, but dont really get to see much unless theyre part of some elite exclusive group, etc, etc, etc...

Especially last years E3 led Microsoft and Sony to reconsider seeing as nintendo got most of the media coverage...

Re: E3 as we Know it, No More.

Nintendo is probably what caused it lol. PC industry didn't like it and bribed the association. Wow, wouldn't that be bad if it were true? Well I hope the best for the new E3. I'm not sure if I like the idea or not. It seems now more like a forum than a convention.
