Topic: Idea on flags

Could we use instead of flags like in every mod have something different. I was tired of holding a flag in everymod. When I was creating a mod for BF was using something instead of a flag. I think holding a computer console would be better like your uploading to it or something. I am thinking of a close radius on control capture so you actually have to stand next to it like right next to it versus having someone hide on another side of a wall. So you need support to get it.

Sorry if posted before. just joined and i am catching up on the posts.......

Ummm. I do think it would be more interesting holding a room at the end of a hall way with good lazer fire to the room with main computer or something.

Well, I'd be alright with just a flag, but this is a nice idea too. Something like you capture the control point by "hacking" into a computer at the control point. I don't like the way that flags were done in SWBF and GC (some big colorful hologram showing the symbol of the team) that takes away the feeling of realism. Sure, you're not actually physically raising the flag in BF2, but since when in Star Wars did you see some giant hologram projector placed in the middle of an Endor forest to show who controls the place?

Too true, allthough needing to stand very close to the capture point would lead to a lot of frustration IMO as you would be very vunerable when standing there with your back to the battlefield ;]

Is this posible because in the ditor you only edit radius not direction.
