Topic: Gamemode poll

Hi folks,

We would like a little insight of how the community thinks we should set up our game modes.

For example, if we'd wish to encourage teamplay, but if you , the players, don't want that, it's not of much use.

Please answer the following questions to help us to determine what you want.

1. Why do you as a gamer choose the bf series over other games?

2. Define what team work means to you.

3. Describe your ideal gamemode.

Please use 25 words or less per question to keep it focused.

Thank you in advance for participating in this survey!

Re: Gamemode poll

1. Its the freedom of the game and the amount of toys there is to play with

2. Working toghter to make a stronger force i.e one person on your squad may be bad at something but someone else might be better at it and visa versa

3. I perfer objective mode as i feel a great pride of achivement if you destroy the object it feels rewarding

Hope this helps

Re: Gamemode poll

1. Why do you as a gamer choose the bf series over other games?

The intense action combined with the strong team aspect, making me feel truly like a part of the army I'm fighting for (IE, I like the vehicle HUD, with all the consoles, not just a nosecam view).

2. Define what team work means to you.

Working together as a team to meet a common goal, and giving all you can to your teammates.

3. Describe your ideal gamemode.

A combination of Titan-mode, Conquest, and Objective mode would be amazing.  I would also like to see what SF wanted to do, a campaign-esque thing.  Where the victor of one map would determine the location of the next map.

We had the same idea months and months ago. It was/is called 'Invasion mode'.

I love the battle field series above other look-alikes because it encourages teamply very well, and you get the chance to see the battle from all perspectives (pilot, tanker, infantry...)

Team work means to me that I'm recieving orders from higher ups, and theres a large degree of quick chat conversations (chat rose thingy) flying during the battle. Also always having a and support guy waiting for you when things get hairy.

My ideal gamemode is definetly one with a unique objective, that differs every map.
Should I become an all powerful hamsters, and could have anything created, I think the ultimate gamemode would be one that mimics star wars empire at war's 'galactic conquest', with commanders choosing where they're moving they're single fleet, and a space and ground battle for most maps. Obviously far scaled down from EAW, but with the principles intact.

Oh and I just want to complement the dev team for being so enmeshed with the community. Most mods are teh polar opposite of that.

I enjoy the bf series because of the openess and freedom that these games allows. Unlike other games where I have to follow a set route or plan in these games I can do whatever I want.

Teamwork to me is where everyone has a job and they do it right. No lone players, everyone works together taking orders and working in squads in order to beat the game.

My ideal gamemode would be one where one side defends and the other attacks, but it is set up so that there is a definite frontline (think pushmap from fh) so that someone doesn't sneak and steal the rear cp.
