Topic: GC maps in FS

I know that First Strike is not a sequel of Galactic Conquest like FH2 is a sequel to FH for Bf1942.
As a big fan of GC I would love to see features of GC to reappear in First Strike. Especially I would love to see maps from GC in reappear in Firststrike as a 2007 version.

Maps I would die for to see them reappear in FS are Death Star 1, Judicator and Task Force.

Never played GC but Star Wars aint Star Wars without the DeathStar.

As for making updated versions of GC maps... If the community wants updated GC maps then I suspect you will have to do them yourselves. ( if you mean the same layouts etc... cos we will no doubt have interior SD maps etc in FS)

On the subject of teh DeathStar, I'm surprised more people haven't been cheering like crazy that you guys are doing the Second Death Star attack over endor. Thats going to be crazy awsome, a jorney down the pipe like infastructure of the Death Star will be unbelievable. How bout a little insider info on that map? The death star will be in that one right?

We actually have swapped that for the trench run. The Trench run will be the 1st space map.

We will be doing a battle over Endor space map ..tho i dont know about traveling thro the interior ... the deathstar model would need to be crazily detailed sad

Aww. Well I can't exactly complain. But the death star 2's 'interior' would be an ultra awsome thing for a later release. But while on we're on the subject of teh trench run, I was wondering how your gunna get the torpedo to arc into the whole. I never got that in GC.

It didn't arc it just damaged the hole. It would be pretty awesome for Deathstar 2... haha make some pieces destructable so when you hit them it sorta falls apart like the street signs! and with zero grav they would be floating around!

You should really ask Preacher and the rest of the former GC team about their star wars mod. They really pushed BF1942 map making to another level in many cases.
The Firststrike team will find without a doubt their own style and type of gameplay.
