If this mod is going ultra canon, then the T/I should have 10 laser cannons.

yikes  That would certainly look awesome ingame with all guns blazing, though i dont think a fighter that will probably be one of the fastest and most maneuverable ingame anyway would need that many lazer cannons , overkill imo big_smile.

In response to this and the fighter thread, I think this is the balance that needed to be found between this and the A-wing. will come from the fact that in plane of inferior armour and lack of missiles the Inceptor is more manevarble and has 5x better laser capability.

  The secret to making a good game is to not mirror balance the teams as in BF2 or Rock paper sisscors balance (most RTS games), the secret is to make sure that all players/classes/vehicles/etc. are able to compete fairly in most situations but they have a distinct but not impossible advantage in situations for which they were designed. A good TIE-Fighter pilot should be able to take down an A-Wing despite the fact an A-Wing is far superior, simply because of their skill not the machine he is flying.

Thats from X-Wing series. It has 10 cannons in the film. The film and the series differ on a lot of things.

For example, in the film, a star destroyer is seen keeping pace with the millenium falcon, even gaining on it slightly. In the games, the falcon goes about 10 times faster than an ISD.

Thanks, I'll add it to the list. Only problem is that anyone whos ever played a star wars game will think it has 4 cannons.

the 2 in the middle look more look booster rockets to keep it from spinning in space and the 2 below fire misilles

According to something I read somewhere (sorry I don't remember where ;probably wikipedia;) that The Empire could not afford but 10 TIE Interceptors, feel free to correct me if I am incorrect.
