How about this, moveable artillary for Titans. In the game "Star Wars Galactic Battle Grounds" there were cannons that were weak close up, but strong far away, maybe an artillary war.

That was a bit random. This is a fighter balance thread.

I'd stay away from anything involving Galactic Battlegrounds. That thing was a bout as accurate as an AK47 with a bent barrel.

haha yes random...

A lot of stuff wasnt in the movies:
The hangers on the capital ships weren't showed so much.
Many of the weapons, sniper rifles, grenades just a few.


You cant make a good star wars game and stick STRICTLY to the movies... you would have almost nothing. You have to venture out a little and add stuff thats EU or only talked about.

Lol, thanks. You know, I'm chomping at the bit to get back involved with this fantastic mod (you guys are doing some incredible stuff), but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to devote enough time to helping you guys sufficiently. There were a few reasons why I had gone AWOL (which I feel terrible about). First of all, my PC at home burned out... twice. I was just able to get it up and running several days ago thanks to a good friend who was visiting. It's still problematic, though. It crashes and freezes a lot and I don't have enough cash to tak care of the stupid thing. The other problem is that I've taken over the duties of my job's old operations manager and now I'm working about double the time. I had also been going through some heavy problems in my life, but things seem to be panning out.:D

Well I wouldn't say you would have almost nothing, but yeah, the implementation of some EU is definately a good idea. Mainly content that directly revolves in and around the films. Any EU that conflicts with the movies or LucasFilm material should get the boot, though. Priorities.;)

There are three "primary" versions based on two basic models in use by the Rebellion. One being a modification of the two seater BTL-S3 model, the Longprobe. Only one was seen throughout the films, the single seater BTL-A4 Y-wing which is the model in use by most Rebel fleets. Outside of those three main versions in use, the Alliance has countless variants and sub variants thanks to the craft being incredibly easy to modify and upgrade.

Oh, and typically proton bombs, thermal detonators, etc. are ejected from the craft and some types are equipped with guidance systems.

So mechag, what do you think about the cannons ? By the way i'm sorry, I thought when I saw armaments/stats I was thinking that this was 3 seperate sections fighters, armaments, and stats. My apologies.
