Re: So what races did you want?

I like the idea of Royal Guards fighting with the Rebels, but wouldn't this bring back up the possibility of(yes I know that some dissaprove of this)jedi? The melee would be similiar to that of Darth Maul (assuming that you used their melee which would be more fun than sniping).

Here are Royal Guard statistics:

*Homeworld:
Kamino

Height:
1.83 meters

Weapon:
Force pike

Affiliation:
Empire

Elegance and deadliness --- these are the hallmarks of the crimson-clad Royal Guard that accompanied the galaxy's sovereign at all times. While the guards can trace their origins to the cerulean-clad Senate Guards of the Republic, Palpatine crafted an order of protectors that stood apart from the rest of his forces.
Only the most promising of the Imperial ranks were selected for Royal Guard duty, based on stringent requirements of size, strength, intelligence, and loyalty. A Royal Guard was completely covered in flowing red robes and a sleek, featureless scarlet mask obscures their faces.

Alternate stats are:

*Emperor's Royal Guards (also known as Imperial Royal Guard or as Red Guards during the time of the Old Republic as opposed to the Galactic Senate's standard "Blue Guards") are the best and most loyal of the Imperial stormtroopers, solely responsible to Palpatine; their sole task was to protect Palpatine, his residences, and clones. They wear flowing crimson robes (though ceremonial, these uniforms are specifically designed to not hamper movement) and a sleek, featureless red mask; the armor itself bore design influences from the uniforms of the Death Watch of the Mandalore System, the Sun Guards of the Thyrsus system, and the Senate Guards of the Old Republic. Their standard weapon is a force pike which they use to inflict unerringly precise and deadly wounds with great skill. They accompany Palpatine wherever he goes.

Organization and selection
Royal Guardsmen trace their roots to the cerulean-clad Senate Guards of the Old Republic. But in comparison, there is a special elite, within this elite-of-elites, class of Imperial Guards called Sovereign Protectors; they serve as the final pinnacle Royal Guardsmen can hope to ascend to, and this nigh-impossible to reach rank serves to motivate them still further. In addition to the usual duties regular Royal Guards handled, Sovereign Protectors were singled out, as much by their elaborate light-weight ceremonial armor as their charge of policing the ranks of the Royal Guard, by being answerable only to the Emperor himself or Darth Vader. After the Emperor was reborn on Byss, the Sovereign Protectors' paramount duty was to guard the clone vats - a task in which they would fail, due to the treachery of Carnor Jax, the Emperor's physician, and the dark side adepts Nefta and Sa-Di.

The Guardsmen are selected from the elite squads of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps, and before even beginning the training that would wash out most of its inductees - fatally, one might add - are judged on select size, strength, intelligence and loyalty requirements. Those who successfully match all criteria are allowed to begin training in the Echani arts in the unoffical training compound located on the sterilized planet of Yinchorr. A mere 4% of all trainees would survive the rigours that awaited them to become Royal Guards; during a yearlong training program, recruits sparred against each other continuously perfecting their combat skills. By working both alone and in pairs, recruits learned how to rely on themselves or on a teammate to achieve victory, a step away from the squad-based Stormtrooper training received on Carida. Failure in training often meant death. In their final test, trainees fought each other to the death in an arena called the "Squall" before Palpatine himself. Only a handful would survive this final test and display of their loyalty and skill.

Royal Guardsmen are trained to use any form of weapon known to the Empire, including but not limited to: any blaster weapon, bo staffs, basic swords and lightsabers, as well as a dozen or more martial arts forms.

In order to keep themselves in top form at all times, Royal Guardsmen often dueled, in what is described by a viewer in Palpatine's private court as "a brutal war, consisting of only two men". This practice kept the Guardsmen in shape as well as giving Royal Guard recruits a chance to advance in rank. They were occasionally rotated out in units to Stormtrooper detachments in the Outer Rim or other combat areas to keep them in fighting trim, and spread their legend.

In Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Jedi Master Yoda easily manhandles two Royal Imperial Guards using the Force.

I know lol, im just sayin that the whole VY battle/era is rediculous...imo. I highly doubt that if GL was to make a post GCW era movie he would go with all the palpatine cloning and luke turning to the dark side etc. To me , all that is non canon. I refuse to acknowledge it as part of the SW EU.

We cant do Jawas(*cries) unfortunatly .. all units have to be the same size as a human.

Too bad, because there was a good part for them.(They went well with several other species)

GCW TIMELINE ONLY! For now guys please. The person who come up with the most sustinct reply MAY well earn themselves a chance to come on and Test the BETA (subject to the FS Team approval and more notably slipping me a few crisp dollars in a plain brown envelope and addressing it to Mr X Hour, c/o The Best Mod Ever, Small Artificial Moon Type Thing, Near What Was Alderran).

Re: So what races did you want?

I still stand by the Yinchorri. They are in the GCW time, offer us a chance to fight the Royal Guards, and are really cool big_smile! Plus I'm FAR too lazy a lobster/squid alien to think up another alien species. tongue

Re: So what races did you want?

Black Sun

*Homeworld:
Coruscant

Associations:
Guri
Virago
Xizor, Prince

The Empire's control of the galaxy and the efforts of a ragtag Rebellion marked key moments in galactic history. Underneath these events, though, lurking in the shadows of the Empire, was Black Sun, a vast criminal organization possessed of incredible power and influence.
The syndicate's tentacles reach everywhere -- from the polished spires of Imperial Center to the seamiest Outer Rim tavern. Many of the organization's tens of thousands of operatives had no idea that they were benefiting Black Sun, so layered and intricate were the fronts that the syndicate hid behind. Black Sun had involvement in every known type of illegal activity, and its information network rivaled the accuracy and scope of even Imperial Intelligence.

Existing in one form or another for centuries, the modern era of Black Sun was sculpted by Prince Xizor, the elegant Falleen head of Xizor Transport Systems. Serving beneath him were a cadre of nine "Vigos" -- Old Tionese for "nephew" -- who monitored and managed activities in specific territories.

Xizor's personal vendetta against Lord Darth Vader nearly scuttled the entire organization. So fixated on exacting vengeance against Vader, Xizor's allowed his fortress to become infiltrated by Rebel Alliance agents. The devastation of his fortress by Rebel explosives was just the start of a downward spiral that culminated in Xizor's death in the destruction of his private skyhook.

In the resulting power vacuum, the Vigos desperately sought to carve up the criminal empire. Xizor's long-lost niece, Savan, secretly instigated a war between the Vigos as she attempted to take control of Black Sun herself. She failed in her bid to capture the human replica droid Guri, whose mechanical mind contained many vital Black Sun secrets. When Guri's memory was wiped, many of the most secret and lucrative Black Sun ventures were forever erased.

This was not the first time Black Sun had been decapitated. Decades earlier, Darth Maul infiltrated Black Sun and killed its then-leader Alexi Garyn. The remnants of Xizor's Black Sun did not rebound nearly as well as Garyn's organization, as no obvious heir as powerful or driven as Xizor appeared. A string of imitators emerged in the following years, and with each one Black Sun was further diminished. The corrupt Moff Flirry Voru controlled a sizable fragment, while other remains were reformed into Black Nebula by Lord Dequc. After years of directionless rule, Y'ull Acib attempted control, and finally Czethros was the last known ruler of the organization before it was finally crushed.

Re: So what races did you want?

Blacksun are the best bet for this mod. Either them or Hutts, but I don't see the Hutt's having any conflict past Tattooine or Nal Hutta. But the Blacksun can be placed in a wider variety of places according to lore.

And the ships you can use are plenty. If you guys play or ever played Star Wars Galaxies, the Freelance space faction has a plethora of ships to be used.

M3-A Scyk fighter - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/M3-A_Scyk_fighter
Could be used as the Tie or X-Wing option.

G1-M4-C Dunelizard - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/G1-M4-C_ … rd_fighter
A heavier class ship, also an option. Slower but more powerful.

M12-L Kimogila Heavy Fighter - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/M12-L_Ki … vy_Fighter
A heavier ship, could be used as the bomber.

Firespray-class patrol and attack ship - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Firespray-class_starship
Yeah I know, it's Boba Fett's ship. I highly suggest against this ship due to that fact, but it is a viable choice.

M22-T Krayt Gunship - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/M22-T_Krayt_Gunship
This is another bomber choice, its a two seater so it would be about the same as a Y-Wing. Slow, but tons of armor and firepower.

Ixiyen-class fast attack craft - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ixiyen-c … tack_craft
"The Ixiyen's focus on starfighter combat made it a fine choice for plots expecting to meet resistance in flight. As a result, the Ixiyen was used quite extensively in the time of the Galactic Civil War by mercenaries and agents of Black Sun."

Rihkxyrk Attack ship - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rihkxyrk_Attack_Ship
"The Rihkxyrk Attack ship was a heavy assault fighter built by TransGalMeg Industries. The ship was used by the Black Sun and other criminal organizations during the Galactic Civil War."

Vaksai - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Vaksai
"The Vaksai was a starfighter commonly employed by the Black Sun criminal syndicate. It was a improved version of the Kihraxz light fighter."
On a personal note, I love this ship. It would make a perfect A-wing or Interceptor counterpart due its blazing speed.

Kihraxz light fighter - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Kihraxz_light_fighter
"The Kihraxz light fighter, also known as the Kihraxz assault fighter was a light starfighter developed specifically for Black Sun during the reign of the Galactic Empire. While intended for the criminal organization, many Kihraxz starfighters found their way into the hands of various independent fringers."
Another A-Wing, Interceptor counterpart. Not as powerful but faster than a Vaksai.

Aggressor-class destroyer - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Aggresso … _destroyer
This would be the ISD counterpart I guess. There arent many large destroyer-class ships that arent Imperial, old, or after the GCW. Its from that new RTS expansion, but it's a viable choice. And it looks cool too.

Virago - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Virago
This ship just screams Blacksun. Especially because of the fact the Xizor used this ship himself. I'd say this ship would be perfect for an A-Wing, or Interceptor counterpart, but the animations required for take-off would be complicated.
