I don't know about ammo crates, but if there are ammo crates in BF2142, couldn't you make them bombs/orbital strikes instead?

If you have played BF2, you should know about the supply crate. If there is an supply crate in BF 2142, then perhaps the commander can make the supply crate a bomb or an orbital strike.

I'm just guessing but you mean like the ARTY in BF2? Just made into lasers.

i like the tie bombers/y-wings arty better.
make the supply crate drop like a pod, no parachute to it. like the IMP probe droid landings.
that gave me a idea: not a supply crate, but a hovering supply (energie) and repair droid

zulu, your saying today: "If there is an supply crate in BF 2142" so you still havent played the demo yet?

No, that was in SWBF. Perhaps orbital strikes for the artillery, but as for the bombs, I was referring to the ammo crate. Perhaps make it a spherical crate and set to explode at such a time. It would be nice if there was a space map where you need to protect an R-2 droid (or something carrying it) while it places and detonates a bomb in the enemy's hull. Perhaps someone would have to place a box of thermal detonators in a spot or somewhere (this would be a nice alternative to a bomb if there are space pirates). So basically like a sabotage mission. But most of all this would be helpful in a 32 vs. 32 match if there is just one control point. Maybe make it more powerful than an orbital strike or vice versa.

There is arty in BF2142, as well as EMP arty. So you dont need to worry about using crates instead.
