Topic: YT-1300s/Shuttles with interiors?

Now that BF2142 allows you to have ships moving that have interiors (i.e Titans), I believe you have plans for moveable smaller capships as well.

Now, would it be possible to give the transport ships interiors? Instead of pressing E to get in, you'd actually get in/out the hatch (controlled by the pilot). Then you could walk around inside while the ship is in flight, going to different turrets, cameras etc.

Essentially my questions are: can you make a ship with an interior that goes that fast; will people who lag slightly go through the walls and into space; and can you have a ship with an interior that is controlled by a pilot rather than directed by the commander (like the Titan)

We have talked briefly about doin such things with the Lambda etc . We wont know for sure until we test it tho'.

Re: YT-1300s/Shuttles with interiors?

Will the ship move without a pilot (other than just forward due to being in space)? That would be fun to be able to force a ship with enemy's on board into the enemy's capital ship's shields.

Re: YT-1300s/Shuttles with interiors?

Please include interiors where ever possible since I'd like to explore the big transports and fighters aswell as fly them.

Re: YT-1300s/Shuttles with interiors?

Even if you can't do this, please put lots of passenger seats in the transports. It still pisses me off that BF2 cars have blindingly obvious empty seats and spaces for people.

sounds a bit like the landing boats in 1942... except in those you were SUPPOSED to press "E"

Yes. With the BF1942 engine though, you couldn't stand still on something moving.
