personally, I think the heli's in bf2142 are too easy to fly.

I TOTALLY agree with you and I also have to say that the rockets are way underpowered too.

Definetly too easy. Which is unbelievabley annoying. The cobra (and other [stupid] bf helis) where harder for the noobs the control, becuase they gave the player MUCh more control over his craft. Every little dip or rotor flare you made dramatically effected your flight position. Which was great, because you could make that puppy go anywhere you wanted it too. The new 2142 gunships take away a large degree of that control, and I've found I can't make it do the same things I can make a cobra do.
In addition to that, I'm not exactly impressed with the way it's weapons are handled. The new tv missle system sucks, as do the punch of the rocket pods.

Aye , you have to make 2 or 3 passes just to get the enemy vehicles in somekind of trouble. ( Maybe thats just me and my sh*te aiming though lol)

Re: Implementing basic fighter tactics in the game: Y-wings

The idea is that the pilot serves as anti-air (like a jet), and the gunner serves as anti-ground. Until they fix the TV missiles though, that wont work.

What I want to know, is who's smart idea was it that high speed fighter combat, as well as strategic bombers, wouldn't be around in the future. Why the hell would you mix your fighter with an attack chopper, removing the best of each's capabilities.

You really want to know why, it's cause everyone bitched that the jets were to overpowered in bf2 so they decided not to have them in 2142. I personally think the jets need to be added back in because everything is much harder to kill, or it just might be that they lowered the damage done by tanks, airships, anti-tank kits, etc.

Also, has anyone else noticed how overpowered the walkers are. The walker can take out 2 tanks without being signifigently damaged. It takes anywhere from 5-7 hits from a tank to take down a walker. A walker can take out a tank in about 4 secs. ALTHOUGH, there is a weak spot for the walker, but your so worried about getting a shot off and hitting him to even worry about the weak spot cause your gonna be dead in 4 secs. The only option i see is attacking the walkers from long range to where the missiles can't reach you.

I can't play the demo yet and I know that it is off topic but, can you snipe someone who is in a walker? I also would like to know whether or not the mines can destroy walkers and tanks.
