Be careful with this though, as I found out, there are two kinds of AGP (or is it 3? I forget!). Anyway, there are 1.5V and 3.3V cards which may or may not work depending on your motherboard and the version of your AGP socket. I had trouble getting a 6600GT working because it was AGPx8 only, so I had to fall back on a X700 which would run at AGPx4 (the maximum for my pitiful motherboard)

My graphical board is also AGP 8x, but it can run on my mainboard who only supports up to 4x

You're right, but in most cases, it's safe to say that motherboards that are three or less years old will have 8X. Besides, I think most cards have an option on their compatibility menus or in the bios.

I for one will be very slow to transfer to vista. I'll give 1-2 years before I install that new junk, making sure all bugs have been squashed allready. Life is too short to bugtest microsoft products smile

same goes for dx10. the transfer won't be over a night, it'll take over a year, and the transition times products will be in either camp really or support both dx's. that or I'll give them my long finger smile

I was told that Microsoft has rewritten the terms used with software.  For clarification I'll show the new term and it's corresponding older term.

This should clarify the position of a lot of IT and Network professionals on why they will be slow to implement Vista. tongue
