Topic: Imperial SPMA-T Artillery, Imperial AT-AA, and Rebel MPTL-2A Artillery

Ah, just thought these would be great additions to a wants list.

If anything, both sides need artillery pieces. Whether mobile, stationary, or otherwise.

For the Imperial side, the SPMA-T Artillery:

Fires green rounds. Most likely strikes to be called in by commander. Takes a bit to re-arm.

For the Rebel side, the MPTL-2A Artillery:

Fires a barrage of rockets after it opens. Takes a bit to reload.

And finally the Imperial AT-AA Anti-air system:

Fires rockets at enemy air vehicles. Such as the pesky Rebel's snowspeeders.

Anyway, ponder this over. It could be a grand add on!

Re: Imperial SPMA-T Artillery, Imperial AT-AA, and Rebel MPTL-2A Artillery

I always was ambivilent about the AT-AA.  on the one hand I liked it because it was cool.  On the other hand though I found the legs a meanless waste of walker technology.  If I were a modeler I'd be tempted to just tear the legs off, sleek out the front of it a bit, and turn it into a hover tank.

In fact, if you've ever played Star Wars: Force Commander (great game) then you'll have seen the type of tank I'm thinking of.  Of course, that game had these too and they were indespensible.  But I loved the little mobile artillery platforms and the giant imperial hover tanks a lot more.

(for those that remember the game, there was this hover platform that you'd have to fly to a position then it'd deploy 3 "stabalizer" legs so it could fire.  I think that'd be a great toy to have.  Someone look those up!))

I like the idea of the AT-AA (with legs!). Though, it may be better for a later release.

I think that this is it.  Not sure though, been awhile since I played Force Commander.

Have to agree with Woody here, Hover would have been the way to go. And as for the size of the thing it looks cumbersome to me and very un-star warsy. A prime example of someone making a vehicle up with no thought about its origins hoping it will slide into SW lore. Patooeey!

Yeah, I tend to not go with any of the vehicles from those series, they just don't come across as Star Warsy (is that a word? tongue) enough for me. I think sticking with majorly canon material is the way to go to keep this Star Wars mod as accurate to the movies as possible.
