Beautiful!  Can't wait to try em out. The best thing about a Star Wars mod is that it's way easier to tell who's friend or foe.  tongue

Nice job on the patch managing too.   No wonder you guys are at 80%+ complete.

I wouldn't say 80+, but then it's a crazy sliding scale we're on.  We succeed in getting stuff in only to turn around and find a mountain more stuff we want to get in waiting for us.  I think we're probably one of the very few mod teams though to be running so cleanly and with such a rapid development/testing turnover rate.  Of course, we haven't given the maps to the testers yet smile

I really love the snowtrooper-family screenshot. Put this screen on the back of a DVD-box and I will buy the game! This snowtrooper model is just awesome

Your update tool sounds pretty kewl. Is there any chance that you find a partner that could basicly help you turn this into an offical modpatch tool?
At least you could email around this tool on the forums in order to arange a stress test before you really go live with the first release. A kind of a fan goody that would help finding bugs before it is released on mankind.

The tool (and let me dig up a screenshot for it) has actually been programmed (by me, at 3 a.m. one morning) with the idea of release in mind.  It's not "FirstStrike" specific but could work with any mod and any ftp.  The only reason I haven't released it yet is it's still brand new (only 2 weeks old) and I'm still ironing bugs out of it and making it better.  I'm also planning a small set of dev tools for other mod packaging purposes, so any other developers stay tuned to your Bf2/2142 news sites, as we'll notify them when we do finally release it.
