OK now you need a GUI with space for a comercial banner, some "spyware" that checks the watched commercials and some companies that are willing to pay you a few cents per download/viewed banner. This way you still stay a non profit team but you can make some money.
This money could be used for offical servers, software licenses and other usefull development "stuff".

Sorry not my intension just a little mind fart. hehe

I was just thinking about giving something back to the firststrike team without any copyright violiations like paying/donating them money(OMG it is there again) for making a SW mod.
If they were getting money for the distribution of BF2142 mods in general it would be a great way to give something back... smile

But like I said above this is only a utopic mind fart since I doubt that you would find a comercial partner for a mod.
