Tbh, neither game are that good.

BF2142 is probably the better balanced of the two, and has better infantry maps.

BF2 has a broader selection of vehicles. Though the balance between them, infantry and the different weapons isn't great.

Talon obviously hasn't played 1942 though.

BF2142 has better gameplay but I could never get into the 'theme' of it, Star Wars aside I'm not much of a SciFi Guy.

Correct. When 1942 was out I didn't have a PC good enough to play it. By the time I got this one, BF2 was out.
