Topic: Kits

Hey Guys

Just had a couple questions after reveiwing the Kits:

Who Gets the FlameThrower?

Would the BF2 mechanics support you haveing a different Unique "kit or race" for different maps?

Ie your Bothan spy would be workable on certian maps but for others you may implement a different one?

Just thought it might make each level a bit more unique.

BTW Love how the mines work for with the sniper. Sounds cool - good luck in the implemnetation thou that  has to be some difficult programing

Thanks for the comments. We can't really reveal who'll get the flamethrower. However I'm sure that our coders will be able to make "Unique" classes on maps. Remember, we'll also need different types of stormtroopers like snowtroopers for Hoth. We can code it in I think.

There's something in the map ini.con files that allow you to chose differant kit geomitries. This is how there's differant races on each team.

We can create multiple teams if need be, and assign an entirely different team on a per-map basis.

TeamA:
Storm Trooper
Jet Trooper
Imperial Engineer
Imperial Scout

TeamB:
Death Star Engineer
Jet Trooper
Imperial Engineer
Imperial Scout

And so on.  I don't believe there's a limit to the number of teams you can create.

Yea. Some maps will have altered classes. Like for example we have to have a death star engineer on the death star map. tongue

The classes are chossen in the editor. In level editor mode; click the level settings in the editor box on the right, then chose your kits from the lists in the popup box. If for some reason you wanted too, you could have the USMC team have MEC soldiers for half their kits (I don't know why you would want to do this though). Hopefully this clears up any confussion.
