Anyone play this still or would like to do some multiplayer action?
I don't have it installed anymore, sorry. Otherwise, it'd probably be fun to play it again. I played it a lot before and it's an awesome game.
...and I forget, can one person be piloting and the other be manning the turrets on the same craft in MP?
Yes, but it requires you and everyone you're playing with to edit the shiplist.txt file (I forgot the directory it resides in, you'll have to find it yourself). Find the entry for the Falcon, YT-1300 and Otana and change it from Flyable to GunnerFlyable. Save the file. Done. You can also make any ship in the game flyable by changing their entries from NonFlyable to Flyable. I believe the entries are case-sensitive.
No need to make a backup either, there'll be one on your CD.
Oh, and you'll want to take a look at the XWA Upgrade Project: http://www.xwaupgrade.com. They've got a TIE Fighter-to-XWA port in there someplace, too, search the forums.
nope but ive playn rouge squadron, which I imagine is something similiar to it
Rogue Squadron is arcade, whereas XWA and the other games in the series (X-Wing, TIE Fighter and X-Wing Vs TIE Fighter) are really more of a simulator collection. They're far from as advanced as many other sims out there, but they're certainly a step from the RS series.
