I'd look into the X1950 Pro , it's about 100$ cheaper than the 7950GT but it's as good as that and sometimes better, another option would be the X1900XT which goes for about 150$ right now.
These two are better than the 7900 by a long shot, if you insist on Nvidia you could look into the 7950GT but last time I checked it was a lot more expensive than the ATI equilevant.
The best thing to do of course would be to get the 8800GTS if you want to play games like ETQW and Crysis, but then again that one goes for about 400$.
Edit: It seems the difference in the Netherlands is alot bigger than abroud, on newegg.com the 7950GT goes for about 260$ and the X1950Pro goes for about 220$ with Artic Silencer V2 30$, so it's about 190$.
