Topic: Bullet holes

Hey, I'm new to the forum, but I've been tracking the mod since about Christmas, it's looking great by the way.

Anyways on to what I'm posting about, I was watching the weapons test video and right before the spot where the car drives over the camera I noticed a laser hit the ground and make a bullet hole. I know this seems minuscule and all but shouldn't it make a burn circle instead or something? I don't mean to be patronizing in any way but know that I've noticed it, once the mod comes out every time I see a bullet hole it's going to really bug me.

So just thought I'd point that out before public release, because it's a lot of the small things like that that will make this modification so good, so far your guys attention to detail has been awesome.

The bullet hole "decals" will change dude so dont worry about that. We have a few ideas in mind but as with everything it takes time and needs to be banded around the team.

That does sound cool, if its like the movies there will also be sparks flying of metallc walls as well big_smile

It'd be awesome if it was like in A New Hope, where gunfights with blasters produced smoke screens. The smoke doesn't have to be high-res, just this transparent low-res effect that's fired with every third shot or so and adds up in big exchanges.

If the muzzle flashes and blaster bolts had dynamic lighting, that'd be even better. Imagine the night-time firefights [flashback to the good old Ground Control RTS]!

That would be a nice touch. Blasters in ESB and ROTJ never emitted smoke though
