Re: Hoth Snowspeeders

I think what he means is that when crashing you actually have a chance at living. Thats the one thing I have always hated about flying vehicles. If you barely touch the ground it takes off half of your health.

I mean think about it. Your crashing into nice fluffy soft snow, (on Hoth) your ship should not go BOOM the instant it touches the ground. This would also reduce bailing out of the craft as well as the person would have a chance to live only if he stays with the ship until the crash landing. At which point the craft is inoperable and he jumps out and tries to run his rear off back to the base.

Re: Hoth Snowspeeders

I agree fully with PErF3Ct. The whole hit point system is quite silly, in fact, even though I realize it's a necessary evil.

Re: Hoth Snowspeeders

There's a flight sim called "Lock On" where I successfully landed an F-15 without my gear cause it failed after I took some heavy hits from a shilka tank. (I flew low and slow to destroy a helicopter with my MG so I didn't waste my missles, didn't expect the tank)
Tricky landing maneuvers to save yourself must be in the game and if possible you should get a "Emergency Landing Badge" if you crashland your speeder and survive.
